Members can book onto events and free sailing sessions using the club calendar.
As a volunteer-run organization we rely on help from our members to make our events successful. Taking part is also a great way to meet other members. If you would like to join in, or simply find out more, email us at dinghy@clyde.org.
Walk the Loch - Tuesday 2 January
Join us for our annual walk around the loch shores. Leaving the clubhouse at 12 noon, we navigate muddy patches and scramble over fences before returning for refreshments and a chat. Bring old clothes and boots.
Club dinner - Saturday 20 January
Our annual dinner and prize-giving, with guest speaker.
Boats out - Saturday 9 March
Come and help get boats out and rigged for the start of the season.
Safeguarding - TBC
Required training for instructors and stewards.
Instructor training - Saturday 30 March
Refresher day for instructors.
Evening lessons start - Monday 15 April
10 weeks of training. Book sailing lessons on the club calendar for Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. Stewarding also allows free sailing to start.
Racing starts - 18 April
Go head-to-head in a series of dinghy races with other club members.
Solo and Streaker open - Saturday 20 April
The Scottish solo fleet and members of the Streaker class association visit Bardowie for a regatta.
Open day - Saturday 27 April
Everyone is welcome to the loch to see what sailing is about. Bring friends and family for a trip on a dinghy or a power boat.
Social sailing - Friday 15 June
A BBQ on shore and some sailing fun on the loch.
Summer school starts - Monday 1 July
Six weeks of training and fun. Book sailing lessons on the club calendar for weekday blocks (Monday to Friday).
Duncan's regatta - Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July
Training and racing for disabled sailors.
Sailability day - Saturday 6 July
A taster day for people with disabilities to try sailing.
Summer school ends - Friday 9 August
All great things must come to an end.
Club regatta - Saturday 10 August
A set of races for all club sailors, including those who have just graduated from summer school. The winning junior sailor will be awarded the Cairnie cup. Teams of club Flag Officers and junior members also complete for the Brazill Trophy. Non-members are welcome to join in for a donation to the RNLI.
Junior traveller - TBC
The Scottish junior traveller visits Bardowie for class regattas in Toppers, Fevas and Optimists. An overview here.
Racing ends - 12 September
Last day of the autumn series (although there may be a winter series for the hardy).
Laird trophy - Saturday 14 September
Teams of two from Scottish schools compete using our fleet of Fevas.

Tidy up time. Help get things safely stored for the winter.
