Evening classes provide RYA-approved training on a specific evening of the week, over a block of weeks from the start of the sailing season (April) until Summer School starts.
The Committee and Instructors Team have decided that the structure of evening lessons for 2022 is for there to be blocks of 5 classes starting in April on each of the 3 teaching evenings (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), with a second block of 5 classes starting on each evening in late May. So this means the evenings are organised as:
- Beginners and Improvers (NSS Levels 1, 2 & 3, YSS Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4) – Monday, Wednesday or Friday
- Informal racing / free sailing – Tuesday (no course fee)
- Formal racing – Thursday
Classes start at 6.30pm and end before dusk (they are usually shorter for juniors to avoid them getting over tired). Tuition follows the RYA syllabus.
Classes are booked through the club calendar. If you have any difficulties then email email@example.com.
Any place on a course is conditional on membership of the Clyde Cruising Club Dinghy Section being finalised, including payment for membership and the course itself. Any cancellation may incur a £25 fee.
Juniors must have reached the age of 8 before the first class.
